Hi, I’m Matt, my passion for health and fitness was first realised when I was around 11 years of age. I was really overweight as a child and at the age of 10 I weighed close to 19 stone and couldn’t even walk up the stairs without being out of breath, it felt like I had just ran a marathon, this is when I realised had to change my way of life for the better. I started to play more sports and incorporate a lot of cardio type training into my life, which help me kick start my weight loss. By researching in depth about nutrition I designed my own food plans which helped me swap out all the less nutrious foods and replace them with nutritious foods, this helped me lose 5 stone in as many months. Due to me having first-hand experience of what you may be going through within your own life I feel as though I have the experience to help you achieve the goals which you may have or may be thinking about.
After more research but this time into more the resistance side of fitness I realised that personal training was the way I wanted to go and the carer route that I wanted. Through the years that I have been training and sculpting my own physique, whilst learning from others I’ve realised that training is more of a science than just going to the gym and picking up some weights, which is what I want to pass on to others and help them achieve the physique they want. I want to help and encourage people to achieve their fitness goals in life and help them realise that you can achieve any goal set whether it be motivation, help or even just advice I’ll always be here to help you achieve what you aspire to achieve.
After the early years of my life being body conscious I now have the confidence that has always been inside me, so I will hopefully be competing in my first Men’s physique competition next year.
